Feminus / Homage To Vienna

While the human body has been the focus of drawings and paintings since the inception of art, it is the female body that has fascinated artists more than any other form.
“This is the female form divine...I am drawn by its breath as if I were no more than a helpless vapor... hair, bosom, hips, bend of legs, negligent falling of hands all diffused . . . ” Walt Whitman (1881)
In his “Feminus” and “Homage to Vienna” series’, Len Steckler depicts Woman in all of her aspects: as lover, as mother, as beauty, as seductress, and as evocatively female.
